Charity Muggers

Last evening some people from Cancer Research came knocking on my door asking me to make a direct debit donate to their charity.

With The Three Estates being home to some of the poorest people in the City, many with a host of other social issues I have to ask how much money they thought they'd collect here? I think they'd do better in the posh areas of brum.

Wizard of KIngs Norton

Had an interesting conversation with the, "Wizard of King's Norton" today about the mystical significance of the spring on Shannon Road.

Very interesting chap, nice to know there are people like that living on the estate :)

Water World

Looking out of my front door the grassy area by the flats is turning into a lake.
At this rate you'll need to catch a ferry to go shopping down the square!

"funny goings on"

There is some on-going, 'odd' activity in the Seals Green area. Strange cars lurking around with 'shifty' looking people sitting in them. Also odd comings and goings at near by flats.

I've not seen any obvious signs of crimes being committed but this has the whiff of wrong doing.

If you live in the area keep a look out for this, I have a nasty feeling that drug dealing may be going on.

Driving me insane.

Am I the only person on the Three Estates who's getting sick and tired of the estate being used by driving school cars? They cause havoc on Longdales and Shannon Road as they crawl along or take ages to practice a maneuver. If they are going to use our roads in their business they should pay us by giving something back to the Three Estates.

The use of the estate by driving schools is unfair on residents who are daily inconvenienced by them, this would not be tolerated in an area of predominately owner occupied housing so why should we put up with it any longer??

The Three Estates Blog calls on our MP and Councillors to take action to removed the swarm of driving school cars from our estate.

Missed Rubbish Collection

Yet again the good old bin men have failed to collect the bin bags from outside the maisonnettes in Seals Green. The people in this block are old or disabled and can't hump their rubbish to the roadside, so come on Council do your Job.

If you have seen this please report it on www.fixmystreet.com/ and or phone the Council.

The Three Estates

The Three Estates are an area of social housing built on the edge of Birmingham in the King's Norton area. This blog will be a record of that area, shall expose crime where I see it, will show both the up and downside of living there.

Hopefully the 'decent' population of the Three Estates will follow this blog and feel empowered to improve their environment and challenge those who damage it.
